Purpose The purpose of Indian National Academy of Civilisational Studies (INACS) ("The Academy" hereafter) is as follows: (a) to provide a platform to scholars, academicians and public intellectuals and professionals to present research, conduct peer review and exchange material on Indic studies in the form of a learned society, (b) work as a catalyst for unfreezing the existing knowledge system and formalizing it such that it can evolve into a living discipline of study and research, (c) provide a platform for reinterpreting contemporary studies, relevant to today world, with a comprehensive vision of human life with its necessary academic dimension, (d) set the direction for formulating a new corpus of knowledge system that integrates the civilisational knowledge system with a refined and reinterpreted contemporary studies, resulting in what would be known as INTEGRAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM, and (f) influencing public affairs of India and the world at large, by using all of the above and utilizing the full potential of the intrinsic strengths of the civilizational complex, towards the qualitative betterment of life. |
