The knowledge system of any society expresses most visibly in the field of public affairs. Public Affairs as a field engage people directly and also have an impact on various aspects of an individual’s life. Public Affairs entails components of various academic disciplines mainly those related to social sciences including economics, sociology, political science, economics etc. It supposedly deals with applied aspects of the established disciplines. Law, management, education, administration, policy making etc. are some of the fields that may be included in the domain of public affairs. In short it may be said that knowledge acquired through rigorous research in contemporary studies and civilizational knowledge system has its application through studies in public affairs.

Public Affairs as a field of study focuses on effective implementation of the knowledge acquired through the study of established disciplines.
